How to Access Manage Categories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To manage cookie categories you need to follow below steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Open SureCookie<\/strong> > Cookie Manager<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Locate the All Cookies<\/strong> section<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click the Manage Categories<\/strong> button in the top right<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Understanding the Default Cookie Categories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    SureCookie includes five default categories based on how cookies are used and what data they collect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Assign Cookies to Categories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If a cookie has been assigned to the wrong category by the scanner, you can move it to the correct one. To do this, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Find the cookie in the Cookie Manager list<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click the edit icon on the right side of the row<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Select the correct category from the Category dropdown menu

    4. Click Save<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The cookie will move to the new category immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to Know If You Have Categorized Correctly<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If you are unsure about a cookie’s category, you can research it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Search for the provider name plus cookie type (example: Google Analytics cookie types)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Check your installed plugins to see which ones might be setting the cookie<\/li>\n\n\n\n

        Update an Existing Category<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        You can update the name or description of any of the five default categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
